Yana Pomerants

My name is Yana Pomerants and I am the founder of TutorHolistic. I have discovered my passion for teaching back in college when I began working at an after-school tutoring center. My specialty is working with Elementary School children on their reading, writing, and spelling skills. In addition, I work with Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I am very patient and understanding with my students. I like to let my students discover their strength and then build on them. I am extremely passionate about health, proper nutrition and exercise. I know that in order to excel in life, one must value all aspects of life including the physical, the mental, and the spiritual.
In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, and swimming. I also love history and visiting museums. I enjoy history and the people I admire are: Booker T. Washington, Frederick Douglass, and Abraham Lincoln.
